#ChewOnIt: A Few of My Favorite Farms

While I do actually love raindrops on roses, whiskers on kittens, and definitely bright copper kettles – I geek out on and feel amazing both during and after enjoying food from some of my favorite farms:

Beaverford Blend, an all-purpose spice mix from Cedar Rock Ridge, has become a staple in my pantry. I actually had a bottle for longer than I care to admit before I really tried it on something – roasted salmon, I think – and absolutely devoured it. The blend has become my go-to whenever I’m seeking a complex and delicious flavor with minimal effort.

Steve and Carissa Lunk are the folks behind Cedar Rock Ridge and it’s pretty hard not to meet them when picking up a Conway Locally Grown order. In addition managing the online market, they put in all the labor of love into their small farm – gardening with hand tools, bug mitigation via happy chickens, attracting bees, and composting. They also sterilize and repurpose empty bottles and jars dropped off at the market in order to pass on cost-savings to their customers…
